Lalo Sánchez del Valle

Visual Artist

Born in Mexico City in 1968, Lalo Sánchez del Valle is a visionary abstract artist whose work transcends conventional boundaries. His creations stand as a testament to the power of subconscious expression; each piece is a window into the depths of human emotion and experience. Sánchez del Valle’s artistic process begins with pure abstraction, oxidizing colors on the canvas to create a mottled, ever-changing effect marked by a perfectly accidental transparency. From this foundation emerges an inner struggle a reflection of the complexities we all face while navigating society. The artist then employs ink, acrylics, and pastels to reaffirm, through color, the dreams released by the inner child, resulting in unique and emotionally charged works that resonate with viewers on a profound level.

Sol Tamargo

Through her workshops and sessions, Sol helps others reconnect with their inner selves, unleashing their creativity and embracing their unique essence. Guided by empathy and love, she supports people in forging deeper connections with themselves and with the world around them. Inspired by mythology and led by intuition, Sol’s work reflects her profound bond with the natural world. Through her collaboration with La Catrina Sirena, her alter ego, she amplifies the voice of nature sharing its gifts with humanity and reminding us of our interconnectedness with all living beings.

“I paint to discover a treasure from nothingness. I paint to reveal the paths where one can die for a dream and return through the purity of a color, a passion, a flavor...” Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico in 1984, she is an artist whose journey began as a pastime and evolved into a professional vocation over the past two decades. At the age of four, she received her first international recognition—marking the beginning of a series of awards and distinctions that would shape her life. To date, she has earned 72 awards: 31 at the state level, 11 national, and 30 international. She was honored by the Government of Jalisco with the State Youth Award 2010 and the Municipal Youth Award 2011. Among her most recent international accolades are the Woman Awards 2020 in the Arts category and the Atenea Award 2021 for artistic merit at the national level. Her formal artistic education began at the age of ten, earning a diploma in Fine Arts at sixteen. She later obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from the University of Guadalajara (UdeG). Her first exhibition took place when she was eleven years old; since then, she has participated in over 90 group exhibitions and 54 solo shows across Mexico and abroad. Since 2008, she has ventured into the world of street painting, an endeavor that has taken her to various Mexican states and over twenty countries. In 2014, she was awarded the title of Maestra Madonnara in Grazie, Italy the birthplace of street artists. She currently serves as Director of the International Street Art Festival “Colores de Jalisco” and Gises por la Paz. Her most recent mural, created in Chiapas, Mexico, stands as one of the largest in Latin America. Her watercolors are a beautiful portrait of the Mexican soul and nature, capturing both their vitality and essence.

Plastic Artist

I am fortunate to be able to diversify my work in a dynamic and creative way — curating art, representing artists, sharing knowledge, integrating design, and enhancing interiors and spaces to create environments that are aesthetically harmonious and pleasing for the final user.

“When I begin a new design, I believe I have mastered the balances, weights, counterweights, and forms yet I always feel that part of the construction is guided by the mobile itself. It tells me: this works, this doesn’t; this is harmonious, this isn’t; this is feasible, this isn’t. In the end, I’ve come to the conclusion that these works are a co-creation between the artist and the mobile itself.” Since childhood, he has been passionate about building and assembling objects, especially those requiring great attention to detail and fine motor skills. His curiosity for anything that moved fascinated him a fascination that ignited his passion for mobiles. At the age of 13, he attended an exhibition by Alexander Calder at the Museum of Fine Arts, where he became completely captivated by Calder’s mobiles, stabiles, and sculptures. From that day forward, he began creating his own sculptures, inspired by those works. At first, he built them purely for the joy of observing them; later, he began crafting them as gifts for the most meaningful people in his life. Now, he wishes to share them with those who take pleasure in observing these suspended works that find balance through forms that delight the senses. By profession, he is an Industrial Civil Engineer with a Master’s degree in Operations Research from the University of Chile.

The Russian aggression against Ukraine in February 2022 brought a catastrophe into my life and the lives of millions who were left in shock by the horrific reality. I left my hometown, Moscow, to begin a new life as an emigrant. Since then, social and mental health have become the central themes of my work.
